predshockey17 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2004 Hey I got ahold of a Eclipse for 1o bucks today. It had tiny crack in it. Is there any way to pop the blade out if it breaks. P.S. It is a taper shaft.
Dan_The_Man_16 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2004 So if you got a tapered shaft just heat it up and pull the blade out.
predshockey17 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2004 It doesn't look like that will be the solution. Maybe that is all i have to do. Because it just looks painted over. I don't know ill take it to my lhs.
Guest phillyfan Report post Posted May 8, 2004 Painted over by the player, or the Sherwood Graphics? If its the OPS, theres an easy way to remove a blade so you can fit tapered blades, if its just the shaft, just take a heat gun and remove the blade.
Pats 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2004 The Eclipse is an OPS.
Guest phillyfan Report post Posted May 8, 2004 I know that, but I wasn't sure if it's an OPS with a cracked blade, or a broken Eclipse with a cracked tapered blade inserted with black paint over.
Dan_The_Man_16 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2004 Thats what I assumed, after all he said it was a tapered shaft.
Chadd 916 Report post Posted May 8, 2004 The Eclipse says "taper flex" on the shaft. The bottom of the shaft and the blade are painted black on the older models, though th epaint has nothing to do with the actual fuse points.

Chadd 916 Report post Posted May 9, 2004 I hardly ever use it because of the flex and feel, It's about 7 or 8 on my depth chart.
