Supreme 90 Gloves

Recommended Posts

I have received a pair of Supreme 90 gloves today. The gloves are amazing. They are easily the most comfortable pair of hockey gloves I have worn in 35 years of playing hockey. I can understand those guys who do not like the look of the gloves from what they have seen on MSH but once the gloves are on your hands the look is irrelevant if comfort and feel are truly what you desire in gloves. For starters, the gloves are incredibly light. I have a 14" pair that are light as a feather. When they are on your hands the weight is nada, nothing, zero. The fit is remarkable. As the catalog says, the gloves fit from the inside out. They contour to your hand. I actually wore them home tonight from the shop while driving! The gloves just wrap around your hand and the feel with a stick is perfect. The area between your thumb and forefinger is seamless. It is not bulked up there where your stick slides through your hand. The palm is Vapor XX taken to the next level. There are small horizontal slits along the palm to allow for better feel without the creasing common to a traditional palm. The stretch wrap material hugs your hand and fingers. The flex lock thumb is also different as now the traditional thumb pocket is gone because the thumb is one with the glove. The stretch wrap material allows for this thumb to work in this manner. The injected molded dual density foams for protection are another area that reduce the weight of the glove while extremely strong enough to disperse any slash. The foams don't budge but they do work as the glove is segmented enough to move with your hand. A truly amazing feature is at the fingertips: your fingertips move down over your stick but about 1/4" of the fingertip padding remains above your fingertip. This is hard to explain but fun to find when wearing the glove. I didn't notice this feature until later tonight at the shop when one of my guys pointed it out to me. The cuff allows for plenty of wrist roll as the Vapor gloves do. There are two venting holes on the hand as well to allow the glove to breath. The glove I have is navy and red. It actually features a swoosh with Nike on the top of the front cuff. It has a T06 with swoosh embroidery on a wrist roll. The retail gloves will have the new NikeBauer branding on them. They may not be the best looking gloves to a lot of you but they will be the most comfortable hockey glove you have ever worn.

Sounds a lot like a trigger finger.

Is there pics of this glove anywhere to check out?

I don't have enough time to post pix of the gloves. Check the gallery for Canucks games because Nazzy has been wearing them for about 2 weeks now in games.

Also, the 14" glove is a snug fitting glove. I like 13" gloves for my hands. The Vapor XXX 13" fit me very well. When I found out this was a 14" glove I was surprised how well it fit around my hand. It was not loose at all. The glove is also incredibly pre-curved. It just shapes to your hand gripping a stick even when you don't have it on! If you check the large picture in the catalog thread you can see how pre-curved the fingers are. The glove is really sweet!

It's late and I'm suffering from bowl game overload but did you get a different color combo then the black/yellow or red/blue/grey I think I remember seeing from the Bauer/Nike 06 catalog? If they were a solid maple leaf blue (yeah, I'm a Toronto fan..... shut up) or something I might not be so afraid to look at them in the future.

Don't bother calling your lawyers this morning. It will be a waste of money. I just checked your website and your trigger finger has nothing to do whatsoever with the 90 glove. Your concept is safe. I assure you it is not part of the 90 glove. It appears to me that your trigger finger has the extra gusset on the forefinger. The 90 glove has no such feature. The finger padding just stays straight while your finger rolls around the the stick firmer with the stretch wrap material allowing this to happen. Once you sneak into the NBH booth at Onegoal and see for yourself, you will realize and see exactly how the glove is made. If I had put on your Sande glove with this extra gusset material on the forefinger, I would notice it immediately. On the 90 glove this feature is not even noticable. That is something I mentioned in the post but everyone did not pick up that fact as I stated it. It sure was easy for everyone to jump to conclusions without seeing the product.

The glove I have is the red/navy/grey pattern. It is the same glove pictured in the Bauer equipment thread posted by Vintas. The $ will be above Vapor XX or XXX at retail.

Easton, Eagle, Muskoka, CCM have all been there before. This is not uncharted territory.

Eagles didn't sell very well at all for us this year after the most recent price increase. The rink near my house had to all but give away their Muskokas because people wouldn't buy them even below dealer cost.

Chadd,

Eagle gloves are a dime a dozen on ebay. And don't they sell direct with a custom glove program to the consumer? So, why bother with Eagle?

Actually that was one of major problems with Eagle. You can find the higher quality pro models on ebay from authorized retailers cheaper than their retail gloves. And that's from a dealer perspective.

Eagles didn't do all too well for us recently either now that I think of it...

Sorry to bring up an old topic, but i didnt find any other place suitable to place this.

Tonight i was able to try on a pair of Supreme One90 gloves, and everything that you heard previously in this thread is true. When you put it on, you acutally feel like theres nothing in your hands. The palms on the gloves are very nice, feel better than the ones on XX/XXX, Now i may not have as detailed of review as DS50 has, because i was only able to get my hands in em for a couple of minutes. But really im an Eagle guy, the looser fitting glove, but i wouldnt mind trying this glove out, it feels like its molded to your hand. If your a NBH you may want to try these.

Just thought i'd post my 2 minute review.
