Is Ovechkin Visor a retail Oakley Grey tint?

Recommended Posts

Don't think the NHL would allow him to wear a mirrored visor like he did in russia. Pretty sure he's wearing a grey tinted one with the caps.

Also, devils, you can see reflections in glass(or perspex), tinted, mirrored or regular...so i don't think that automatically makes it mirrored.

although can't find any evidence that NHL won't allow it. Just going on what a friend, who watches alot more hockey than I do, said.

if you look closely you can see reflections in the visor: mirror reflection

I live in washington and have seen Ovechkin play live numerous times. I gaurentee you that for the past few months hes worn an oakley visor like the one I posted.

There are pictures of him in many differnet visors. I have a feeling that the since he wasn't allowed to use the mirrored Itech, he was probably just trying a bunch of different face shields before he setteled on the oakley.

He wore the mirrored Itech HS22 last season and then this year I think he switched to a tinted HS22 and now I see he is wearing a tinted version of the Oakley visor that I wear. Not sure of the model name, but I know that Naslund wears the same one. Alot of pros like that cut of Oakley.

Ovechkin wears a grey tinted oakley visor for the NHL. He only wore the mirrored one when he played in Russia. You can buy them retail. Most online stores have them.

hi,

is that INLINE Warehouse a reliable store? Anyone ordered from them before?

I'm not an inline guy so never heard about them.

He endorses CCM, which would include Oakley.

He is wearing the extended one w/o vents.

hey dez if you live in Vancouver then you should go checkout Cyclone Taylor...i'm pretty sure they have that visor. if they don't they could order it from you. I know this for a fact because I went to a pickup in east van and half the people wore that...kinda funny because the rink was pretty dark!

Hi, thanks! yes, actually I saw that at Cyclone today but not sure whether it is the one cause it looks darker on Ovechkin helmet than I look at it in store.

will get that tomorrow!
