I tried watching a little of the Philly - Colorado game but the picture was terrible. I started watching the NYR - Detroit game and it isn't quite as bad. They're keeping a little bit of a lid on P-Mac so he isn't as bad as on TSN.

I'm sure Jason is happy though, there was a good 10 second shot of Samuelsson in the box with his shiny white Salming stick.

What was up with Kaspar? I only saw the tail end, he got hurt in the warm-ups. I'd guess a shot, but it looked almost like he just collapsed (not sure of what).

Kaspar and a teammate collided out there and he hurt his knee...I don't know who he collided (sp?) with though.

Chadd- strange...A guy on another MB complained of terrible picture as well. My picture is above quality then what I am used to. Really clear.

I was hoping for HD but no dice. The NYR - Det game is no different from MSG broadcasts for me.

My feed is pretty decent. Is this a weekly thing from now on for NBC? It seems like the announcers are losing focus a bit of focus during the games. I do like the colour guy though. JR and PM keep jumping in to say a comment and a big play happens which is then followed by silence. Overall it's a very good broadcast for me though.

JD and Doc are very good together, I think it's PM that is throwing them off. Most US broadcasts don't have the third man down low on the air so much. NBC has the national contract and I think will do a dozen games or so before the playoffs. This also helps them promo the Olympics.

I didn't realize PM was down on the ice until they just showed him. I did like this quote after Det's 2nd goal.

JD "I don't think that touched Draper, thats Shannahan's goal"

PM "See, right there, that's match-ups, it's Jagr 1 - Draper 1, each have a goal, that stuff matters!!!"

Maguire is a tool. He keeps on interrupting trying to get his two cents in, but he contributes nothing more than Doc and JD. Best part was when he started talking about lines and playters matching without naming them, Doc quickly pipes in and asks him who was talkign about. Looks like Maguire forgot it was nationally broadcast in the US, not Canada.

As far as the game...bah. Rangers left Shanahan alone in front of the net for waaaay too long. Second game they've done that to their goalie.

yeah that was pretty sick. when he came down the right side i thought he was going to shoot low stick side again... but then he pulled that one out. the play with Mo and zubby was nice as well. :D (Dal tying goal)

Yeah...Lundqvist was out to dry way too long.

As a whole our defensive corps is the worst in the league. And to boot, the fowards were not skating that well or backchecking like usual. Detroit was very beatable tonight, but unfortunatly we did not bring out A game

I usually like how Lundqvist plays, but he looked weak this afternoon. He put the first Shanny goal in his own net, seemed to have alot of trouble recovering when he let up a rebound, and gave away some rebounds off of weak shots. He had a handful of pucks drop behind him. NYR seemed very dangerous in the offensive Zone, I always felt like they were on the very of scoring, but the didn't seem to control the play and they seemed very vulnerable in their own end.

The second Shanny goal wasn't his fault, but it does show how he kept losing rebounds.

Lol. No I don't know if that's what they call him. I just didn't feel like typing out Dominic Moore and assumed Theo and other Rangers fans would know who I was talking about...which Theo did.

I thought the picture on the Philly game sucked too. They are only broadcasting one game a week, why the heck wouldn't they show it in HD??

Did anyone else think that one of the announcers mic's was malfunctioning? Everytime the same guy talked, it sounded like he was talking into a static filled tin can. Everyone else sounded fine.

There was a graphic that said the Philly - Pitt game would be in HD next week.
