Since there the vapor xxx is an true one piece therefore there is no fuse point.

I never owned one but i would first cut off the blade and slowly cut up until the blade fits.

I dont think you can put a tapered blade in the XXX,becuase it isnt a fused two-piece.Someone correct me if im wrong

There is one guy here on MSH that has succesfully converted his XXX to a Taper shaft.

Can't remember his name, but he's from the Vancouver area and has a pic of Ovechkin wearing a mirrored visor as his avatar...

Search for the topic, you will find it sooner or later.

I have never tried this but.......In theory, wouldn't the shaft be hollow (where the hosel normally would be) since there is no hosel inside because the connection point (where the blade meets the shaft) is lower than where you would cut the shaft to fit the tapered blade? Hope that makes sense! I would just try it! Start cutting it really low, just enough to cut the blade off, then work your way up the shaft untill you can fit the blade in. You should be able to see up the shaft (once you cut off the blade, and that will give you a better idea on whats going on with the internals of the shaft!

If you try it, make sure you post the results! Positive or Negative

Ive seen plenty of true ops with a tapered blade (stealths mainly), so it can be done, i guess it just takes time and patients, but it can be done!

The Stealth isn't a true one piece stick.

I just put a tapered Bauer wood blade into a broken XXX ops. I cut mine rite in between the NO in technology. If i was to do it again I would probably cut it an inch longer because I have to put two layers of tape on the blade to keep it from moving.
