Jim A 4 Report post Posted January 25, 2006 we had Jack the Monkey @ Brampton for the 2000 NARCh Finals, he was supposed to shoot on Brodeur, but Marty just stuck to auto's...not a lot to gain for him in that situation...
Jason Harris 31 Report post Posted January 25, 2006 I went to the All-Star game when it was in Denver (2000 maybe?). At one point I glanced at the seats in the lower bowl and saw a chimpanzee sitting in Row 1, Seat 1 behind the benches at center ice.I had recalled seeing a poster from a movie with a chimp on skates, and figured it was the same all-star. Jim A 4 Report post Posted January 25, 2006 MVP...Most Valuable Primate....should've had some votes for best hockey movie on here a while back, I'm shocked..although at least they didn't need to shoot the hockey scenes in slo-mo like they did for Rob Lowe and Swayze :D

denverbronco86 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2006 All-Star game when it was in Denver (2000 maybe?). 2001.And on the Primate note, I believe an even more horrible movie would be the sequel to MVP, where the Chimp goes and becomes a skateboarder, but I might be out of line, not having seen it, I'm just assuming poor quality. :D
Dougie8 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2006 Yeah it was kind of pointless. I can only imagine what'll be next....surfing, Roller Hockey...etc..Most Valuable Prostitute will be coming on soon, if they dont stop now!
Duder84 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2006 well these movies WERE made for kids....at least I assume that was the demograph they were going for
denverbronco86 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2006 True, but just because they're kids movies doesn't mean they have to be of lower quality than a film made for an older audience. Example: recent films like The Chronicles of Narnia, and Finding Nemo.
Quintin 16 Report post Posted January 30, 2006 And there's also the budget....
analog999 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2006 I don't think you have to put a lot of money into a movie like that. You know adults are not going to see a monkey movie, even if it is quality. King Kong....

King Kong.... What I meant was the budget on other kid films ie. Finding Nemo, Shrek etc. are so much higher than movies that were straight-to-DVD as with MVP
