I certainly think that's a disgusting video and it's terrible that things like that happen, but you guys all need to get a little perspective. Do you have any idea what the lives are like for animals that are bound for your dinner table? It is just as bad if not worse than what you saw there. The fact that they're domesticated animals really isn't that viable since any animal can be domesticated, you all just have attachments to cats and dogs.

Secondly, it bothers me a bit to see everyone get so worked up because some cats and dogs are dying in China when countless people are slaughtered and mutilated in various countries all over the world every day. Now, I'm not asking everyone to get up in arms about everything awful that happens in the world, you can't do it, but to see more compassion and anger aimed at the murder of animals than those of humans...it's the same type of situation as someone who will spend thousands of dollars on a pet over a year, but might scoff at the idea of donating to a cancer foundation or heart society. I've never understood how people care more about animals than other people, I don't think I really want to get it either.

Now go ahead and call me an animal hating barbarian, I'm sure most will not bother to read most of the post.

I completely agree, although its just sad to know thats its all happening to animals, but its even worse when its happening to people.

That's a fairly ridiculous comment. It's fine to treat animals with compassion and respect, in fact it's the proper thing to do. However, to say that they should be equals is somewhat ludicrous. As much as PETA and many other animal groups will disagree (animals dont' go to war...only humans commit genocide, maybe we're not so advancde...), we are a higher life form. Treating animals equally would mean that you'd no longer be eating meat, and your pet dog bowser would put you in jail for 25 years for kidnapping and hold you liable for civil damages over the emotional trauma you've caused him (urinating in public, walking him on a leash, parading him around naked!). God may have created all men equally, but dogs, cats, parakeets, pigs, sloths, lemurs, wood ticks and my personal favorite...the platypus, they are a couple rungs down the ladder.

That's not quite what I was referring to. Go to a big city and go for a stroll through the most run down parts of the city. Head over to the hospital and take a look at what's happened to a lot of the people in critical care. Go visit some wives and kids who have been shit kicked by a drunken dad. There's lots of things that happen that are far more terrible, people just try not to notice them.

I complete agree to that.

To me a cat it's the same as the cow i eat.

But that doesnt mean that i have to be brutal with animals, people in the vid should all be putted in jail.
