I guess you never heard about Captain M and his hotel stay in Chicago while he was on the Canucks. People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Absolutely and positively, NONE of these guys are saints. If you want to tar one of them, be prepared to tar all of them. And even if its Captain M.

What about the three players who actually commited the act - Neil Sheehy, Dino Ciccarelli and Geoff Courtnall? I didn't see anyone throwin' them under the bus. I've also read conflicting reports on the story.

What does Messier have to do with this? Hell, why not bring up Tyson into the mix?  Just because other stars have done bad things make it OK for Stevens to do so?  I don't think so.  I guess its alright to just brush it aside...And throwing stones?  Maybe Mess wouldn't have the best argument coming here and putting Stevens down, but I will sure as hell call the dirtbag Stevens on it.

I have berated Lemiuex, Hull, Roenick, Avery,among many other.  I'm an equal opportunity lender.

But standing idle while teammates are raping an underage girl in a Limo is something that really tops bad things anyone can do.

You say none of these guys are saints, but they are a whole lot better then the boxers, football players, basketball players.  Definitely one of the cleaner sports with less crime.  You don't hear about hockey players commiting crimes nearly as much as the other big sport players. 

I can't understand how anyone can try to sugar coat the incident and say its OK he did it because some other players are not saints either.

I never said it was ok, it is not. My point is that many other players, even some you probably admire and respect could be guilty of something just as bad, if not worse. Unfortunately, you and I do not truly know all the facts about all the things these players in this sport and all the sports do when on the road. My only point is to call out Stevens and ignore that there are probably just as many who have done things as bad or worse that we both do not know about is wrong. That is my reference to tarring one, you must tar all. I admire your determination to hold these players and all players up to such a high standard. I respect you for it. I know,though, that unfortunately most of them actually don't meet the minimum standards of respect they should have when they are on the road. The players take advantage of these women because they can. And its sad and its wrong but unfortunately it will continue to happen. Wolves travel in packs for a reason.
