Hull 1100 shafts

Recommended Posts

I'm weary of the fact they say that they "flexed them ourselves". It seems shady that they added a mandatory $5 grip for the Kovy shafts, yet these don't have that. Anyways I'd still love to get my hands on one, has anyone campared these flexes to the ones on his Easton sticks?

Holy Shit! Has anyone else seen the pic of them flexing it on their site? That pic makes me want to buy one for some reason...

Yeah, if someone flexed a shaft before I bought it I'd be SOOO pissed! Especially if there was no blade in it. I think those shafts look awesome though. I like usually middle range flex, but a good whip flex (not TPS Rubber though) would be nice, and I bet it would last longer than a stiff stick, especially because the blade wouldn't have as much stress on the hosel.

Honestly, I'd rather buy a 340 flex Inno 2000 from them then that.

Do you think that no one flexes the sticks at your local hockey shop? What about these online e-tailers that are hockey shops as well, think no one flexes the sticks there?

I used to have one i tried it out and it was crazy the flex i think it was a 440 flex or something and it's like a 65 easton flex. In the end i went back to a less flexy stick but not that much difference. Nothing like taking your first slap shot with a new 440 flex :) It was better suited for my little sister

I don't understand the buzz around these Hull shafts. The junior flex on a senior sized stick will not make you shoot like Hull. I tried stickhandling with a intermediate synergy and you could feel the stick flex every time it touched the puck. I can't imagine how a shaft that's 10-15 more flex than that would feel.

I like whippy shafts because I'm freaking weak. I've got a TPS whip rubber which I'm using over my f4 and flyweight right now bc I love being able to flex the stick on every shot. I don't feel it flex when stickhandling, but then I'm probably much weaker and lighter than most guys my height.

Adjusting to noticeably whippier sticks is very difficult. I tried using my Intermediate Redlite for a practice this year, but I found it impossible to stickhandle with. Sure, it made shooting a breeze, powerful shots with no effort at all, but I had no ability to stickhandle with it so I ditched it for a while. Eventually I got used to it, but that took about a month.

When I stickhandled or tried to cacth a pass I didn't like feeling the flex and it was difficult to makes moves for me without losing the puck. Shooting was great though :) nothing close to hull

With a whippy flex you have to concentrate on getting the motion smooth. Slow down and get the motion smooth and then slowly add a bit more force.

I think that goes for stickhandling as well. I don't have a problem shooting or stickhandling with 70 or 85 flexes. Maybe hand placement comes into play a bit more as well. Shooting is just effortless though. I've gotta try one of these.
