You get what you pay for... The impact 500 gloves are low end. They will break down pretty quickly.

Yeah i figured as much, but for $11 I figured why not. I still haven't decided if I want to skate out and if i do how much I will end up skating out.

I use to have a pair of Bauer Impact 500's. Yes, low end gloves, but I've seen worse. I replaced mine when I started playing centre as I quickly learned while taking faceoffs that they didn't have any padding along the side of your little finger -- ouch!

Unless you have money to burn, equipment upgrades should be need-to-haves and not nice-to-haves.
