Hockey Stores in Ann Arbor

Heading to Ann Arbor MI. next weekend for a tournament. I am looking for a good store to buy skates. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Perani's is at the Cube (rink). Other than that, I would look to go to J.R.'s place which is about 1/2 hour away. There is not much in Ann Arbor itself. About 10 places within 1/2 hour.

btw: The Peranis at the Cube is kind of the bastard store. They have quite a large selection, but it always seems to be full of the misfit gear that the other stores don't want or can't get rid of.

IMHO

Stay away from Perini’s especially at the Cube. It will be jam packed and service will be lacking.

Head up to Novi instead and hit JR's place is worth the ½ hour trip.

I live in AA and I hate the Perani's at the cube. Worst hockey store ever. JR where exactly is your store?? I'm new to the area an don't know where novi. is?? Excuse my stupidity. But whatever you do don't get your skates sharpened there. They have sharpened mine with a figure skateing wheel before!! Stay away.
