Nice To See Sundin Win Gold

Recommended Posts

It was also nice to see him play with good players for a change.I bet he was in heaven playing with Forsberg and Modin{& to a lesser extent Lidstrom & Alfredsson}.He was amazing every game, easily Sweden's best player. To bad he's been saddled with nothing but broken players and washed-up geriatrics for most of his NHL career.

Congrats Mats

What did he say about O'Neil after the game? I heard he dedicated the win to something of O'Neil's. He did play with Modin for a few years in early 2000's.

He said something about O"Neil's dog and how he promised he would bring back gold and the dog could hang it aroudn his neck.. something like that..

as a die hard Leafs fan.. it was defintely nice to see Sundin win something.. hopefully he can bring some of that momentum back to Toronto and maybe make a run of some kind..

Modin was another second or third liner with a hard shot when he was in Toronto, not until he played with Lecavalier, Richards, St Louis and company did he start to really produce. Regardless he was still better than some of the linemates Sundin has had this year, am I the only one who believes Quinn didn't realize he had Chad Kilger one the first line for like a month?

Is it really a first line when you have a premier C between two plumbers?

Whoo hoo, go Sweden.

It is for the Leafs.

Yeah,he did play with Modin for awhile. But that was when Modin was kinda raw and not as effective as he is today.

They also played together during the last world cup.

He said that he was going to bring the medal home to Ralphie. The interviewer asked him who Ralphie was and he said it was Jeff O'Neill's dog.

At least he didn't say he was going to bring it home to show Pat Quinn. :P

You mean when Toronto fans ran the guy out of town ?

Ya.. and guess who we got in return ... CORY CROSS.. another one of Pat Quinns brilliant moves during his tenure as GM..
