Pansy in Minnesota

Recommended Posts

I don't think this has been talked about yet, anyone see that fan? Garnett got a charge called him and "tossed," emphasis on "tossed" the ball into the crowd where it struck the fan in the head and he needed a stretcher to leave. It was like watching a Europeen soccer game.

Yeah, I meant the players, on how they dive so easily. I doubt I'd fall so easily, even if I was payed millions, I rather keep my dignity. Remember the Ronaldo or Rivaldo incident where he was to take a corner kick and the guy passed to him lightly in the air and hit him, and he made it look like he had been shot. That tarnished the game of soccer. Needless to say, that fan was seeking something.

I guess I'm the only one that feels KG was in the wrong. Yes, the fan was close to the court and there are risks fans take to sit in those locations but the play had been whislted dead. At that point, most fans aren't expecting a ball to come flying off the court. Plus, KG tossed the ball, on purpose, into the crowd (otherwise he'd have just tossed it up in the air in the direction of the court). The fact that he (the fan) was removed on a stretcher, was a little over the top but that was probably more of the decision of the emergency personnel and arena officials than the fan's.

A co-worker of mine was at the game, sitting near the guy. Apparently he was booed quite loudly as he was carted out.

From what has been said on the local radio about the "mishap", the team has procedures in place to remove fans that have been struck in the head with the ball. Unfortunately for him, the fans at the game (and the announcers on TV) thought that he was playing it up to get some $$$.

I don't think anyone will get sued in this instance.

i saw it on SC also. damn, hes like an actual player in basketball he acted so much. usually i think pros are nuts. but this aint his fault. he should/(did?) get fined for throwing it. fans were right to boo.
