Canada beats the US 8-6 in the World Baseball Classic. The defense of the Americans was shaky early, and Willis had a rough outing.

it was steve nash, who plays professional basketball for the Pheonix Suns.

i saw part of the game on ESPN, adn one of the Canadian players was fooling around with a SherWood hockey stick :D

Once I saw Buck friggin' Martinez as the skipper I smelled trouble. That said, it's not like they're playing that well either.

Jason Bay was the player in the dugout with a stick. I believe that he is our only right handed hitter in the lineup. The Canadians say its because they learned to shoot left and then just transfered it to bat left. ;)

The Canadians may not have a good team on paper, but they have heart. Like the annoucer said "It's the Canadian hockey mentality. It's a never give up, in your face, guts and grit type of team."

Also the Canadian team had a team bonding experience playing street hockey.

They probably won't win the WBC, but damn are they fun to watch! :D

I also think that Martinez filled his pants a few times during that game.
