What skates are these?

Recommended Posts

Im pretty sure their Daoust. Could be because their not authorized by the NHL that he has to black the logo out?....But not 100% sure on that.

I remember hearing that Perrault bought something like 20 pairs of those skates because the factory was going out of business. I think they may be Daoust.

Those photos were taken in the last 2 years, one was taken this November. Perrault certainly has gotten some mileage out of his skates, that is for sure.

When I go through the Getty images it seems as if he's tried other skates such as the CCM vectors but has always gone back to the Daousts. Seems like a lot of the early Russian players like Bure and Mogilny who wore Grafs early on in their career tended to migrate to Microns.

i have red army cards of sergei feds and he was wearing old school pro tacks, same with Vladimir Konstantinov, im pretty sure ive seen both of them with blue perfecta/tuuk holders back in the day, then for the nhl i think sergei went to graf and vladdy to micron

i just scanned some o-pee-chee red army cards of vladdy k with microns and blue holders and sergei with some old ass pro tacks with the nhl shield on them, the cards are 89-90, then for his first few seasons in detroit sergei blacked his grafs out til 94ish, vladdy went micron with white holders his whole, short career, i scanned the cards but the file is huge if anyone wants to see PM me, i also have some russian cards of fedorov in intl competition wearing grafs between 86-90

Check out the transition in blade holders. Trottier has the Daousts with the old style holder and blade but Clarke has the modern Tuuk style.

That's probably around 77/78 when the Tuuk's were just coming into use. Bobby Clark, Darry Sittler and Guy Lafleur were the poster childern for Bauer's new Tuuk holder that was replacing the tube skates at that time.
