Cutting a vapor X shaft

Recommended Posts

Yeah, i should probably know this but this is my first 'high tech' shaft. It is about 3 inches to long with the blade..do i just cut it off to length with a carbon fiber blade on a hack saw? Thanks. By the way, this shaft looks amazing, top notch finish. My first shaft with a grip coating and it feels really goof. I have it paired with a JOFA 9500 D. Sedine blade. i have always used a jofa/titan pattern and i hope this is a good combo. thanks for the help.

yep, just saw off whatever you don't need. You may want to use a mitre box to make sure you get a nice square cut. I found a cheap plastic one for a couple of bucks that works well.

I would second the mitre box, and also when you are done to make sure the top isn't sharp you might want to LIGHTLY sand it.
