Jagr

Jagr is ahead of Thornton points-wise as of tonight against Toronto. He came out of the game with a goal and two assists to get 100 points on the season. 4 more goals until 50...which shouldn't take too long ;)

Theo, I love your live play-by-play MSH posts by the way...

Great game tonight. I was there. Good crowd. Didn't do a Homo Larry dance though. I always look forward to a Homo Larry chant. Plenty of Potvin Sucks and Beat Your Wife Potvin chants.

Hank was great tonight. Case could be made for Lundqvist MVP. Rangers are in some of the games they are in cuz of what he does between the pipes.

Jags have been the man though. His play has been great, and he has been dominating the Leafs all season, and anytime anyone dominates the Leafs, I'm all about it.

That had to be awesome, 96- being there live. I heard the "MVP" for Jagr from home and the guys getting behind Lundqvist in the 3rd.

Oh, and BTW- Wrote this in the AM on a Rangers MB:

Jagr will have a 4 pt night...

-I feel it

When you play the Leafs, you have to expect it.

When the Leafs scored their first goal, I (at home) joined in the Standing O for Lundqvist. He was standing on his head tonight.

My bro is on that board. He tells me about all the posts and some of the topics..."Just got my Ranger jersey..finally!" Haha, doesn't sound much different than here!

The Rangers got a taste tonight of what has actually become of Pat Quinn. Honestly, who uses Aki Berg to shadow Jagr? First 4 NYR goals come with Berg on the ice and all came from his side of the ice. Jagr was good and the NYR PP really clicked tonight. Lundqvist was awesome, so quick in the net, he made a save on Tucker where I couldn't figure out. He was lying on one-side of the net in a stacked pad position and in the blink of an eye was in his butterfly on the other side. The stick saves on Kaberle and Sundin were nuts as well. Figures Allison pots 2 worthless goals to come closer to those bonuses after blowing the Buffalo game.

This was the first Rangers game I got to watch today, and I have come to a few conclusions:

-They are not overhyped and are indeed a very solid team. I get a good playoff vibe from them.

-Lundqvist is f'ing insane. His save on Tucker was unbelievable.

-Their defense is their only weakness. Kasparatis isn't good. I think the only way to beat them is to attack the hell out of them down low and hope Lundqvist isn't playing his best.

-Their special teams are amazing. Their PP was very sharp all game. I believe they mentioned this on HNIC, but their style of continually moving works very well. Their PK simply shut down a very good Leaf PP (I didn't watch the end of the 3rd, so I don't know if any of the Leafs 2 goals were PP).

-Jagr is without a doubt the best player in the NHL.

Even though I'm not a Jagr fan...and the Rangers are one of my favourite teams to ridicule, I'm happy to see this as it's good for the game.
