CCM Pro Senior Hockey Girdle

Recommended Posts

Guest Muck

I bought a pair of the CCM Pro Tack pant and not sure it's comfortable for me (seems too bulky for me). I'm considering a girdle with a shell. I have two questions:

What will be the difference in feel between these two?

The girdle sizing chart says the XL is a 38" waist. I have a 38-40 waist with huge thighs (thank you, squats). Will this be a problem with fit? Here's the chart:

GIRDLES* SIZE WAIST SIZE

Senior Small 30"-32"

Medium 32"-34"

Large 34"-36"

X-Large 36"-38"

* Please note: The hockey girdles sizing chart above is for your reference only. Each inline hockey girdle varies depending on what brand you choose.

the girdles are not tight but snug if you have big thighs like you said the girdle with just wrap around them perfectly its like the idea of UA its supposed to be skin tight and mobile the girdle isnt tight but not loose the girdle will stretch to accomadate your beastly thihs is what im trying to say

and definatly not as bulk as regular pants

no hitting right?

some bumping and i doubt youll get down to block shots

personally i think your spending too much money when all you need is some mid end Tacklas adn those are still ver god pants

and the CCM is one of the more expensive girdles

if you do go for the girdle check out the easton synergy one i thinks it like 70 or 80 bucks instead of like 120 0r 130

Cool, thanks for the idea.

Edit: They're actually the same price. They're out of the Synergy. Makes the choice easy. Thanks again.

o i thought the CCM ones were expensive maybe thats the Tackla version is what i was thinking about

but if youre willing to spend the dough for the comfort over protection go ahead

Talked to a guy from Easton, they said manufacturers don't make a XXL girdle. He said he didn't think I'd fit my legs because the fit is normally small. Any other suggestions on a pant/girdle?

I'm looking for moderate protection with very little bulk and superior mobility (Probably what a lot of players want, huh?). The bulk is too much for me, but since I'm a fairly new skater I'm sure I'll be hitting the ice often early. My football past (equipment experience) is making the hockey pant seem very uncomfortable.

Im the same fit as you (40" Waist).

I wear a pair of Harrows and they fit NICELY. I work out and have big legs too (and a nice sized ass that the black lady-folk love for some reason.. :S ).. It was the most comfortable pair of pants I have ever worn.

You can order them there.

Theres the direct link. You wont be dissapointed (p.s. Harrow = Christian.. same pants).

I think we're twins or something, my bubble ass gets the cat calls from those folk as well. :o

I'll be sure to check them out. From first glance they seem affordable as well.

FYI: I did just notice that Bauer makes a 36-40" girdle. A little expensive though.

Their gear is tight.. I used to wear bauer and didnt like it much because it didnt fit well.

I think I'm going to order the Christians then. I originally had the CCM Pro Tacks XXL, a little big and way too much bulk for me. Freedom + Protection= happy bubble ass.

Any LHS member of MSH work as a distributor of these so I can help out the "little guy", or are these manufacturer direct only?

Are you going to be selling the XXL pro-tacks, and if so, how much would you be looking?

Just sent them back to Hockey Monkey today. Wish I never ordered from them after learning what I've learned on this board. Sorry I can't help you. I was actually going to sell them for what I paid with complimentary shipping, I never wore them on the ice.

BK, got the pants in today. I do have one question since I won't be in them for a couple of days...

How is the protection on the backside? They seem very comfortable and pliable, but may be susceptible to slashing?

My harrows dont have much in terms of lower butt protection. I have been hit there a few times and wear a custom pad that protects my tailbone. The upper butt area is fairly well padded.

Where'd you get that pad? Is there anything aftermarket you'd suggest? I love the pant, but that one area I leave expose will be whacked with a 70 mph puck the first time on.
