How old were you when you started playing?

Tell us your story of how you started playing hockey. I won't try to stop you.

I started plaing when I was in grade 3 and continued till grade 7. Stopped for grade 8 then got back in grade 9.

I started when I was about 7 or 8 playing ringette. Then we moved and there wasn't a girls team or ringette so my dad took me out. Then when I was about 11 the boys team's goalie broke his leg and they desperatly needed a goalie. My dad's theory was that I was a fastball and baseball catcher so I could stop a puck. It worked.

I played net until I was 17 and I had to chosse between baseball and hockey.

I started again last year (21) and am playing forward.

Both my brothers started young. My one brother was 5, the other was 3. As soon as we could walk, we were throwing a ball and skating.
