Hall of Famer Hull joins charity tour

The Hockey Stars For Hope National Hockey League Stars UK Charity Tour are

proud to announce Hall of Famer Bobby Hull as their marquee name.

The Canadian, who was inducted in 1983, spent 23 campaigns in 'The Show'

between 1957-1980, registering 672 goals and 627 assists in 1182

regular-season and play-off games for Chicago Blackhawks, Winnipeg Jets and

Hartford Whalers. As well as registering 638 points (303+335) in 411 appearences in rival league WHA with the Jets, where he also lifted the Avco Cup on three occasions.

Hull was named in the NHL All-Star team 10 times, won the Hart Trophy as the

league's Most Valuable Player in 1965 and 1966, As well as winning the Art Ross Trophy 3 times as the league's leading scorer, and the Lady Byng Trophy for sportsman-like conduct and also helped Chicago lift

the Stanley Cup for the first time since 1938 in the 1960-61 campaign.

Nicknamed 'The Golden Jet', his speed, feared slapshot and powerful physique

saw him rise to the elite of the NHL in the 1960s and his shot was

reportedly timed at approximately 120mph.

In 1966, Hull became the first player in the NHL to score more than 50 goals

in a season, his achievement earning him a seven-minute standing ovation.

He said: "I am thrilled and delighted to be part of such a tremendous series

of hockey games and to have the opportunity to lend my name in support of a

fantastic charity. We all have an obligation, especially those who played

the game, to do all that we can so that everyone has a chance to have fun."

Hull joins a host of NHL stars Helping UK Kids Play including fellow Hall of Famer Bjorn Salming, Fight legend Bob Probert, 5-time Stanley Cup winner Esa Tikkanen, 2-time Stanley Cup champion Reijo Ruotsalinen alongside Greg Adams, Gino Odjick, Chris Kontos, Tony McKegney and many more.

Bobby Hull in Fife Ice Arena....fantastic :D

For those of you, I'd imagine most of the North American based folks on here, Fife is one of the older-school rinks you're likely to find. Still doesn't have glass....but it's awesome. :D

Reading all of your posts, it got me wondering:

Going average speeds, how long would it take to drive the UK North-South and East-West? How long for England itself?

Unfortunately, I've been throughout North America, but never elsewhere.....
