k well i'm looking at gettin either one of these sticks i like the synthesis shaft but i dont like the curves if i used a synthesis would the tps baldes fit it or vise versa

Ask yourself this question... How many synthesis and R2 do you see in the NHL... None Hardly....Because "THEY SUCK" !!! why buy a synthesis or a R2 when you can get a synergy or a responce and 2 pieces break so easy... i snapped them left right and center so thats why i went back to OPS.. but i can see if you just dont have the money to buy two pieces... thanks for reading !! :):)

Your an idiot Chickmagnet, they dont suck. They give very simalar if not better performance and are just as durable. And he could use a wood blade in a tapered shaft if he prefers.

i agree entirely with kosydar. The synthesis and synergy shafts are THE EXACT SAME CONSTRUCTION. Maybe chickmagnet should lay off the sauce because clearly he is too strong to use a shaft Milan Hejduk and other nhlers are using. Maybe so few nhl players use a synthesis because the synergy is the exact same stick, but requires less maintenance and they dont have to pay for a new stick every time they break a blade. I swear we need a little evaluation before people join here, the amount of clowns is getting obnoxious.

They only use the Synergy because they can. I could almost guarntee you that if teams had strict stick budgets the Syngergy would be non-existant in the NHL and Synthesis' and R2's would be all over the place. Also if you buy a OPS and you don't like the curve/lie, or feel of the blade you can't change it. In a tapered shaft you can fix basically anything. I have a Synthesis and love it, although I wish I would have got the 100 flex. If you do end up buying one of these beware they feel flexier then they are labeled at, my 85 feels more like 75-80 flex. Great stick though, pair it up with a wood R2 and you are set.

Shafts dont suck. Everyone says with a taperd shaft and blade you get the same performance as a one piece but you get a better feel, more like a wooden stick. Thats why I am saving up my money for a nice shaft.

I totally agree with DAn. In the OHL, very few teams have their players use one-pieces, well atleats synergies. I was at a game between Oshawa and Barrie and almost every player on Barrie had an synthesis, not a synergy. good thing because about 5 blades broke.

Mac, no one on the Gennies use Synergy's anymore, only Synthesis', the team will not allow it. I am tight with Adam Berti, one of their star players and he gets me their used stuff at an extremely low price.

There was something about the Synthesis, I just did not like the way it felt. Did not play with it just holding it. I got an R2xn10 and don't regret it at all.

I have both Synthesis (non-grip) and R2 shafts. I don't think one shaft is really better than the other, it's just a matter of what you prefer. Both are good shafts with each its own flavor.

I find the R2 has a better feel of the puck than the Synthesis, but I don't personally like the concave shaped grip as much as I like the Synth's rectangular grip. Many others here who have tried concave prefer it though. I also like the Synth's 85 flex over the R2's Whip flex (about 75 on Easton's scale) since I'm not a big guy and don't like anything over 87 flex. Both shafts are great for shooting.
