yeah its so if he gets hit in the ankle it wont kill it its to protect the front of the foot actually it just wraps around so its sturdy

I got a look at the One90 stick today before my practice, it felt like a very solid stick. There was no price tag on it, and it was a Gagne pro-stock. The graphics are really cool, and it wasn;t too heavy at all, I felt it compared to an XXX-Lite in weight terms. I wish it was a righty...I may have picked it up. On the other hand, they also had the new green/black RbK's, wasn't sure if it was the 7K or 6K, but it did come in all three sizes so I'll guess it was the 6K
