Bauer 7000

Recommended Posts

Cyclone has them in the 10.5D. The hockey shop has some too but you're going to have to call/email them for available sizes.

Are these "bake-able" and will they keep their stiffness for a long period of time? Another question.........can you put LIGHTSPEEDS on them? (dumb question)

I wear a 10.5 in Graf now...........what would that be in Bauer? Was my guess of 10.5-9.5 about right?

That is a pretty big range there... I would say you'd wear the same size in Graf and Bauer

dont get one dude they are horrible

I have 7000's and they are just as stiff today as they were when I bought them a couple of years ago. Just not that comfortable to me, but I know others who like them. If you going to tell him not to get them at least give a reason why you think they are so "horrible".

Do your feet hurt when you wear them?

Yes. I have flat arches and and a wide forefoot. They bother me along the soles of the feet and also my ankles. I'm wondering if the ankle discomfort is because the skates are too stiff? I honestly think it's more a problem with my feet than the skates.

It's all PP. I find some skates (newer Tacks and old model Vapors) hurt my feet and some don't (Mission and Bauer). You have to try the skates on for yourself and see what you think.

It's the skates. True ankle support means there is at least some pliability in the ankle area so the skate can support your ankle like a thick bandage when your ankle moves (and not restrict it like a splint). That's what I think anyway. Better off getting a softer skate and replacing it more often and at least have good feel and agility.

The 7000s are/were probably the most popular skate in the NHL. The pro stocks are even stiffer than the retails. Different people like different skates so there isn't a standard stiffness for comfort, feel, or agility.

It is all personal preference. I had retail 7000's and loved them so much that I replaced them with pro stock 7000's this year. I absolutly love the pro stock ones. I have wide feet and have never had a problem with either pair.
