The difference in situations, however, will be Foppa telling the Flyers "buh bye." He doesn't need the NHL and has made no bones about that.

I don't think Clarke can get away with trying to put blame on anyone. At some point you have to tip your cap and say the other guys just beat us. He hasn't had the class to do that yet.

I hate Clarke but he did say at his end of season press conference that they got beat by a better, faster team. He also said he thought Buffalo had a good chance at the Cup.

He also said that the injuries were a big reason why they didn't beat the Sabres, not the new style of play in the NHL.

There's always a scapegoat with him. It's never his fault the teams he puts together don't get things done. He made the wrong signings this year knowing the game was changing but he'll never admit that.

last night during the Avs game they said Forsberg was gonna get surgery on both his ankles and wouldnt be back until next january

We know this already. He's getting the right ankle first, waiting for it to heal (about 4-6 weeks), and then getting the left done (same time, and about 6 weeks (or months?) or so of rehab)
