Keeping statistics

Hey guys I'm going to need a way to track statistics for a team next season. I've looked around at some websites but they tend to be pricy. I'm looking for free/really cheap ideas out there.

You could probably build something in Excel that would do all the Math.

At least hockey isn't as stat heavy as baseball.

All Stats. It's fairly easy to use.

Maybe I should have mentioned that I already have a website and everything for the team (provided for by our College) but that we just need to be able to put results on it. I don't think I can justify giving teamsonline.com a bunch of money when we already have most of the things they provide: website, emails, online video, pictures etc etc.

It sounds like All Stats will work for you. It's a software that's around $60, but then you can post the stats to your site.

Whomever gshockey.com uses. Pointstreak is what I think it is.. [edit] I don't know how much it costs though :(

The hard part of all this is to actually enter all the stats for each game. I would go with the software that was easiest to enter! For instance, if you could scan in a game sheet and character recognize the numbers and names of your team, that would be worth an extra $1000 in my mind.

That's what I used to do, plus you can export the spreadsheet as HTML and just upload it.
