Yes, the rep confirmed this info to me. It is a late addition to the product line since a lot of dealers asked for the shaft to get into production.

well, TPS did have the R1 out before so i wouldn't be suprised if there was an R2 armor standard hosel.

I can also confirm that the R2 Armor is available in standard hosel, they have them at my LHS. And while watching the SJS vs EDM game tonite, I noticed that Mark Smith of the sharks is using a Response Armor control, first one I have seen in the playoffs.
