Allsmokenopancake 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2006 In Ireland handguns are banned, centrefire semi-auto rifles are banned. Rifles over .27" in calibre are banned. Firearm Certificates have a Irish L100 licensing fee, and a seperate FAC is required per gun. Licenses have to be renewed yearly. All guns require an FAC - even air rifles. delpiero81 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2006 In Italy we have very restrictive laws. All guns must have different licence for their purpouse. For sport licence you can have small calibre rifle (like the one you see in olympic 22 caliber or something), then you can have pistols (maximum 7 i think) for self defencebut you cant bring outside home. Then you have hunting rifles (like shotguns) but no military rifles (5.56, 7.62, 12,7 etc...).To bring a gun with you for self defence you must have a very difficult to obtain license and normally only police and private police are allowed. But from the crimes committed seems that find a kalashnikov from the East Europe countrys isnt quite difficult...
