I meant that in the good kind because Keenan molded Pronger from a baby deer into one of the better d-men around.

Also when Keenan was coaching the panthers, Olli Jokinen has his best season by far point wise and playing wise. He also made the all star team. I agree with Mack, Bouwmeester is a young defenseman who is going to be depended on greatly next season.

I see how this can work out well for the Panthers, other than the prestige of the new GM. They have a great young goalie, something the Senators thought they had but didn't, plus they have some good young talent that can be molded like the Sens were. Too bad their fan base there won't appreciate it; they just want another guy to shoot rats in locker rooms.

question, has anyone else heard that keenan hates kristian huselius? unless im mistaken, ive read that keenan hates the fact that huselius has never developed into the offensive player people expect him to be.

i wonder if hes going to be traded soon.

I've heard both. Thats the thing with Keenan he is really a hit or miss guy, either he is great with a player or terrible there isn't really an inbetween. I can see Martin letting Huselius and Weiss play and turning them into good players. I think this can work out really well, I just hope he plays a more open style in Florida than in Ottawa, but with less talent I don't see that happening.

Hell, Dudley was going to dump Weiss and Huselius. I don't think it's just a Keenan thing with them. Weiss may still turn into a good player in the right environment.

Wasn't it Dudley who liked Weiss (and maybe Huselius) but Keenan hated him so Weiss spent more time as Healthy scratch than expected and it eventually ended up to Dudley being fired? That may have been their previous GM.

Dudley got fired because Keenan is still under contract for 3 more years and Dudley pissed off the owner by letting one of the goalies walk away at the waiver draft.
