Mission axels

Recommended Posts

Well I recently converted a pair of Vapor XXX skates And the chassis I got on is a Mission Generator. I love these skates the only problem is that a few of the axels that go right into the chassis have been stripped. My question here is do these axels still exist and if so where could I find them? Is this something I might have to PM Justin about? Eh any help would be appreciated since State Wars Tryouts are this Saturday for me. Thanks to all who can help.

You might want to. I thought that there was a standard sizing on single axles. I wanna say 8mm. Not sure. But I have found discrepancies. Case in point, the axels for the Hummer do not fit in the Red Stars I have.

You might want to PM Justin. He's probably just going to tell you to take your chances with a hop-up kit.

Are the Gens new frames? Didn't they come with axels?

I have the older chassis. I actually got lucky right after I posted this and found a set of 8 on ebay for $20 shipped. Im hoping I get it before Saturday now. The chassis did have the axels but the axels were stripped where you place the allan key to tighten it.

When this happens i usually cut across them a little bit so i can fit a normal flat head screw driver in it, you might want to try that.

Briggy,

Depending on your model year there are two different axles which may work with your chassis. The only difference between the two is how fine the threading pattern is.

If the set you ordered is not right, let me know as I have ample Generator Chassis axle bolts in both styles which I could sell you.

As a side note, there was also a set of Generator Chassis that actually had two piece side locking axles but I'm not sure if those were sold as stand alone chassis by mission or actually came mounted on a skate model.

Hey, What axles are on the mission carbon chassis? One peice or 2?

I think its called the Generator Carbon chassis is this right? If so, would it take the axles on epuck or the ones Briggy bought?
