Warrior Curves

Recommended Posts

So if the robatille is the same as the peca and iggy, then the iggy is the same as the peca?! If i had known that it could have solved so many problems for me switching curves.

Has anyone managed to sort out the warrior lie's? Are they really what they say cause it seems very low.

Robitaille is longer and deeper than Iggy. In Easton terms it would be more of a Gaborik. As for the lie I found it to be pretty accurate on the Robitaille maybe a tad lower. I cut my stick rather short (about 155 cm) and get the whole blade worn evenly.

I think youre wrong. I had a mac daddy and a stealth next to each other. The only differences were that the blade was thicker on the MD than the stealth. Im not sure on the Pecca, the ones I have seen are nothing like the robitallie...but then again, the pattern might have changed.

I don´t know. Maybe the Iginla´s I used to have were different?

The iginla is totally different than the Robitaille. I compared a Robitaille Dolomite, Mac daddy and Royale to an iginla ST Grip and it was alot different. Then I compared the Robitaille to a Peca P71 Bauer XX Max Stick'um and they were exact in every aspect.

Many of warriors curves are the exact same as Bauers. Fedorov=PM9, Kovalev=P91 ans so on.

If this is the case, what Warrior is patterned after the P88 Lindros?

Weight maybe?

Well, not all of them are the same. I havent seen the weight yet, but Im sure its not one of Bauers patterns.A majority of Warriorrs are the same as Bauers though.

Yeah but you can't tell the curve because all it shows is the blade.

Are you serious? WHat else do you need? It shows a top view of the blade (which shous the curve)

are you serious? look at the shaft, the pic is off, brainiac

Exactly. It doesn't tell you anything. I could throw a stick in a barrel all haphazard, take a picture of only the blade, and you would have no clue what the blade actually compared to others. Unless you can see the shaft and it's aligned right, you get nothing but optical illusions.

Do warrior still do the Mogilny?

The Weight curve is the closest in the Warrior lineup. It's not exact, but it is close.

It looks a lot like the old hespeler weight from those pics.

Robitaille is longer and deeper than Iggy. In Easton terms it would be more of a Gaborik.

From what I've seen I would agree with that.

For what it's worth I just got a Fedorov tapered Dolomite blade for my R2 shaft. The curve seems closer to my Iginla Synergy than any other blade I've seen. The Fedorov is definitley longer and the lie is lower than the Iggy, but the the slight mid curve and closed face are very similar. The Iginla has been my favorite balde, but after using my Fedorov for the first time tonight, it may have moved into first place.

Other informative tidbits for those interested. My Dolomite blade's hosel is about an inch longer than the hosel on the TPS R2 Nash (Sakicesque for those scoring at home) it replaced. The overall length of my stick is an inch longer now, but it wasn't a problem because of the lower lie on the Fedorov. I've just got more reach now.

just to prevent starting a new topic, is the draper equal to the sakic, just a change in lie? it looks like they're similar from the picture, but with no real life way for me to see the curve before purchasing, i'd like to know for sure.

The Drapers I saw were 5.5 or at least damn close.

I have Weight AK47. As i'm looking at it next to modano, here is what i see.

Lie - weight is at most 1/4 lower (maybe less)

curve - weight is more of a mid. Bottom edge is closer to heel, top is clerly mid.

loft - weight has some wedge, but a lot less than lindstrom.

rocker - somewhat more rockered then modano.

hosel - warrior is 1/4" shorter. ERROR - LONGER not shorter

Overall, i would not call it heel curve dispite what the catalog says. I'd say it is a mild mid curve with mild wedge all along the curve. I like it alot! Used modano before this and had no problem transitioning. Problem with some of the pictures i've seen is that they are taken along the line of the shaft insted of directly above the blade. That is why they look so wedggy, and heely.

Got this from Warrior back in early April. Too lazy to post it.

Wow, that chart is really bad. Some of those curves in each row are totally different curves.

Is there anyway you could post some pics of the curve or if not have you seen a robataille and be able to compare the two curves?

Thanks

What curve is the other stick? Also is there a chance you could take a pic of the curve from above, looking down the shaft?

Thanks

The other stick is modano.

Here is the pic you've requested. Down the shaft pics are so misleading IMO.
