Guy Incognito 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2006 Ricky said the talent is somewhat comparable. He said it's not a wide spread gap between the two. He may be mushing it up for his new teammates, but I think the CFL has some very talented players even though I am an NFL guy from the States.

mrusse01 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2006 isnt there no drug testing in the cfl? nope, no drug policy/testing in the CFL. A lot of these guys only play football as a part time job, I doubt they could afford steroids. Ricky is still being tested up to ten times a month though by the NFL, and I'm not 100% sure but the Argos may have their own agreement/testing with him. Guy Incognito 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2006 The CFL is currently in the process of setting up a system that would limit or keep players who are banned from the NFL to play for a CFL team. Also, a different tidbit of an interesting gesture:"Fans got a rise out of a vignette in the second that made fun of former Toronto quarterback Joe Theismann's condemnation of the club's signing Williams. On Tuesday, Theismann called the move a "feeble excuse" by Toronto to sell tickets, lashed out at Williams and said he was ashamed to have worn the club's old A emblem on his helmet.During a stoppage in play Friday, a video ran on the Jumbotron showing Theismann wearing a helmet with the 'A' emblem. Suddenly, a giant pencil appeared and rubbed out the 'A,' after which the worlds "Happy Now Joe" appeared, again drawing solid applause."
