wickedwrister 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2006 I am thinking of selling an autographed Red Wing Jersey on eBay and was trying to get an idea as to what I should set a reserve at. I really don't know what they go for with all of the signatures. It is a replica CCM Datsyuk jersey with the following signatures. Pavel Datsyuk (on the number 1 on the back), Igor Larionov, Mickey Redmond, John Ogrodnick, Pat Verbeek, Doug Brown, Ken Holland, Mike Babcock, Todd McLellan, and Paul MacLean. I suppose if someone wanted to make it a Datsyuk only jersey, they could remove the "1" and have it resewn on a new jersey.

mnitishin 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2006 you should ask for a price that you think is a little high, and if it sells than great, if it doesn't, lower it and put it back on. it might work the first time, that would be cool :)

AtlantaThrashers01 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2006 cant u get a certificate of authenticity, i think they have people to do that lik the teams
Vapor 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2006 there are companies out there that will certify your jersey, its a good idea.
stickfixchaska 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2006 Get them certified. If you don't have them certified, don't bother selling them. Too many "collectors" sell fakes on ebay. People with $$ to spend on auto'd jerseys will want certificates of authenticity. If not, you may get lucky and get $150 - $200. If it's certified, you could easily double it. Jason Harris 31 Report post Posted May 31, 2006 Another thing to do is check the Completed Auctions on eBay. If the jerseys typically go for $100+ with multiple bids, then you generally will get more money by starting at 99 cents versus having a reserve.

Not to mention reserve auctions cost more...especially if it doesn't sell on the first go round. It's not a ton of cash, but every little bit counts.
