I didn't try them out, but I was at Hockey1's tent sale this weekend and there was on ice demos, I tried the Mission AG's and the 9K's, not many people were going for the vectors. However I think that the sticks will do good, the 10.0 had a nice blade and a good feel to it.

I have had Vectors before but they sure seemed pretty stiff. Although on our on ice demo there was no oven for them and I am sure they would have been fine with an oven. I tried the 9ks as well i would between the 2 the 9k has a looser feel until you pump it up and the vector is a much tighter all over fit. That being said everyones foot is diffrent so....hard to say for you....I have a fairly wide forefoot and narrow heel!

I have been skating on these for a bout a month, skates holding up pretty damn well, I love the perforated blade and will never switch to non-perf again. These skates are LIGHT, just nice and not overdone. Skates that are too LIGHT well IMO just don't give you enough feel for the boot. (tried ZG130 for a few pick-ups, those are too light). CCM steel is definitely one of the better, jimmy noted this in some other thread but yes, a month without sharpening and still have good edges. VEctor 10.0 looks MUCH better than the vector pros :) thank God. I have never taken shots to the boot yet or have not noticed it yet, should be armoured protection in these. To me, the best CCM skate ever.

(I am currently in indonesia for the summer hols and wtf a guy came to me and asked :" what skates are those? new CCMs?"

Then he asked his friend " what model of vectors are those, new models? above the line or below the Vector pros?"

The buddy said it was a new model and BELOW the pros.

WTF I tried to explain it is the replacement but well, why bother with these guys, they are just jealous :P

How does the Vector 10.0 differ in fit from the Rbk 9K's ? Narrower middle, but same heel and toe width?

That's what I've been told by my LHS, just want to hear some of the Guru's here on MSH B)

I skated on my Vector 10s for the first time last nite....3 hours of pick up hockey..all I can say is WOW....

I had been skating in Pros for a couple years, and really liked the skates...was a little apprehensive in making the jump to the 10s, but I must say it was a good decision.

First off, I have very sensitive feet, and over the years, have battled a heel bursitis problem on one foot and a bunion issue on the other...after 3 hours on an unbaked pair of 10s, not one sore spot anywhere on my feet...w any skate that I have owned prior this wouldnt have been the case...

Coming from the pros there isnt a whole lot of stand out differences, they do seem to be just slightly lighter, and maybe a little bit stiffer to start...I did take a pretty good shot off the inside of my skate, and it didnt feel any worse than the pro models did.

My first impressions of these skates exceeded anything I could have expected, CCM definitely didnt take any steps backward w the Vector 10s, they seem to have a real performer on their hands.

If you guys pause and think for a minute, this year's vectors will have to compete against one90. one90 claims 0 negative space, etc2 with a whole lot more technology to boast about. I have not tried 0ne90s yet but the vector 10.0s are amazing even without all those. But as these skates will cost almost the same, I bet more people will go for 0ne90s and I feel sorry for CCM. They are always one step behind bauer in marketing but one step ahead in quality IMO.

I urge people to try out the vectors, I feel I owe CCM for my free pair and just have to say this.

One90 may be $100 more and The vectors are about the same price as the XXX. But taking into consideration that you would have to replace the skates after 6 months of use, you fork out another $400 bucks.

I'd have to disagree with you that the xxx's last about 6 months...some of my friends xxx's have lasted a lot longer then that including the pair i used to have. IMO that might have been the case with the early xx's but not with the xxx's.

XXXs did hold up better than the XXs from what i've seen, but the durability still wasn't very good. People are harder on skates than others...

The Vectors were pretty comfortable. I had a chance to give them a test, but just couldn't bear wearing a D width with my wide foot in that toe box :(

Im pretty hard on skates so i think i lucked out by getting a year out of them, but yeah i could definitely tell the difference in wear between my xx's and xxx's from the period of time i used them.
