glove/palm question

hi there,

i got some stains and blotches on my palm from the shaft tape.

how do i get rid of them?

i already tried to wash the gloves but this stuff is still on the palm.

well if i cant get it off them its ok because its not that bad but it would be cool.

That's a good question. I don't know if there's anything that can rid your palms of that... and if it's really worth it. It will get back on after one or two outings and you'll have to repeat the process over and over again. Kinda worthless IMO.

I've heard that there is also something in the pigment of black in black tape that breaks down palms. But there's some arguement to the truth of that in the goalie forum.

Yeah i use white tape now, i wish i would have done that earlier ;)

I've heard the same, most likely here too, that they use charcoal to dye the tape black, and it causes the palms to break down more quickly, because of the chemical reaction it produces from the charcoal
