Not sure if there's any 970s left locally but the 950s and 900s are $40 at my local shop. I also have a lightly used pair of 970s I'd sell for a similar price.

Because nobody will buy them and they have a ton of them. Most of them have been sitting in the shop for two years or so.

Price. Why buy the brand you've never heard of for 170 when eagle is selling for 135 or 150? I went with musko and was happy (thanks again, Chadd), but some guys may want a looser fitting glove. In that case, they could just take out one of the pads, but again, why pay more for a brand you've never heard of when eagle's cheaper?

Dealer cost on the 970s was $110 or so and I got mine for $75. Otherwise I wouldn't have purchased them.

eagle gloves are different, they have one peice fingers and have a different fit, Muskokas are also a bit of an underground company, and the quality is quite high, at least in my experience

yeah i used to have a pair of eagles im not really a fan of not having split fingers. thats one of the reasons i like the muskokas.i dont think i could use a glove that doesnt have split fingers anymore.

Their customer service is very good as well. The gloves are a bit expensive but they really put that money back into the products.

I am a complete newby, and I had to get all new equipment. I ended up picking up a pair of Muskoka Zr90's (which I can get away with has I have abnormaly short fingers) for $50cdn. The guy at the clearance place said they were a steal as they were great gloves, but that no one had really heard of them.

Much to my surprise the exact same pair was $173cdn at the LHS. As far as I can tell they are quite comfortable, and I am glad that I bought them.

I agree their customer services is great. I bought a pair from twin ponds east(ice rink near me) and within five months they got a hole in them, and my mom got really pissed. so she called muskoka, and told them about it, and they sent me a new piar free of charge. they also didn't ask for the other glovese back.

Yeah, it's 2 miles from my house. Nash palms never last me anywhere close to 5 months, I'm not surprised they fot a hole in them.

Same thing happened to me, but after 3 weeks. My replacement's pair held up like a champ.

That's right around dealer cost on the 970. They're a nice glove, just not quite right for me.
