is this the new logo? I saw this while looking @ other forums

i don't know if this is on that site that everybody's posting but if this indeed is their new logo it looks slick but IMO it does look a little fake?

My guess is because they obviously haven't decided whether or not they want to keep the black, white, and possibly red; or go with the vintage blue, gold, and white. Purely a guess so take it for what it's worth!

if you look at the bottom of the mock ups you can see, barely, where it says "buffalo sabres blue pms 282" that is the color selection. so it looks like dark blue, gold, silver, and red.

The fact there is a black and white version is not because they haven't made their mind on the color scheme. it's only because when an agency designs a logo, it has to design it also in black and white version, as it will be used this way sometimes for one color prints use.

Ok my english isn't perfect, but I guess you understand what I mean.

Yeah JR and weirdo are absolutely correct. These are "ad slicks" just examples of their logo. Need a B&W version for things like a B&W newspaper ad or other non-colour uses.
