Heard on the news that Rob Blake is headed back to LA for a two year stint

Exactly...In the last two years the Avs have lost Foote, Forsberg, Tanguay and Blake.

So pretty much this year Arnason replaced Tanguay and Leopold replaced Blake...Great

Yeah, I'm pissed bigtime. Losing all the guys mentioned above is/was just killer to the team. That was the core of the team. Alls left of their championship team is Sakic and Hejduk minus the not so well-known guys.

Kinda classless on his end due to the fact as he is getting a 2.5M bonus from the Avs which is part of their cap issue.

That aside it was great having him here for the cup run and I wish him well in LA.

The good news is NEXT year the Avs will finally have cap space to do some damage.

Till then this may indeed be a long year. My advice to Avs fans is enjoy Super Joe as he is not too far behind Stevie Y.

Yesterday on the radio they interviewed Rob Blake and he said that the Avs didn't even make an offer to him. He said it was very clear from day 1 that he wouldn't resign with the Avs...
