I like the Mission M-1 pants, very protective and comfy as well. The new TPS pants are nice as well with some cool features. I would avoid the CCMs as I've had bad experiences with the latest models.

I've had my mission pants for ever. I have never had a problem with them.

Easton pants are pretty decent. I've had X-tremes for a year and a half and they've been great weight and mobility-wise.

I have a pair of Bauer GI pants. Excellent pants. Super lightweight, and lots of padding and leg zippers. Only problem is that they don't have a belt, but I hate belts anyways and wear suspenders. If you can find a pair, definatly pick them up.

Roller player = girdle...you'll feel more comfortable and not restrictive.

Best value for the $ = Mission M-1 pant

Tackla, as stated above...has some good options as well.

If you are a betting man - bet the girdle...you'd be surprised at how many pros are wearing one!
