i see you are too rich to drive a common car though lol.

i don't know much about import cars so yeah.

That wasnt my car. It was my friends.

I drive an m3, but we do have a couple domestic cars in the garage.

I also noticed yesterday that my skates got really soft. Guess thats what happens when they are left in a trunk with two consecutive 100+ days <_<

I'm in southern cali, last week I had a game that I was going to straight from work, so I brought my skates inside and just left them under my desk.. the rest of my gear was pretty warm when it came time to put it on..

thats a lesson for you kids, always carry your skates INSIDE the car.  i've noticed that the foams in hockey gear smell nasty when hot, besides nothing is nastier than putting on a hot pair of gloves.

Sometimes that isn't an option. I have a pickup truck and can't really fit my gear bag in the cab of the truck. I have a fiberglass tonneau cover on my truck and the temp can get pretty hot, luckily I normally play at night and my gear wont sit in my truck for more than a couple hours(at night).

Possibly another reason to buy the shockdoctor bag? The circulated air would help keep temperatures down.

What I used to do is take the skates out of the bag, put them ont he floor of the car and keep the AC going at feet. Rest of bag was hot but the skates were good...

Just a FYI, had a customer come in today to have a holder replaced.  Seems he skated at lunchtime.  As soon as he stepped on the ice, his skate gave out.  After further inspection, the rear pillar of his holder was literally melted and folded almost in half.  Seems he left his skates in the bed of his pickup under a black vinyl tonneau cover.  I'm guessing the temps got pretty high in there.  The outside temp was 96.  So, just a caution, if you will be leaving your equipment inside your car during the heatwave, you may want to let them cool down before skating on them.

So with this in mind, I wonder how many fraud ridden a**holes would try and return these under warranty as a manufacturer defect?

Based on many of the posters I've seen on these boards, and the folks who try to help them. the answer is sad, very sad.

A little late to reply on this post, but I had something like that happen at my store last year.

A kid that I had sold skates to about 4 or 5 months previous came in for a sharpening. So as I am sharpening im not getting a nice hollow, and i figure it was the steel being bent or out of place. So i take a look at the steel and it looks bent, but something isnt right. So I look at the skate and the entire holder was warped so that it was leaning over. Both skates were like it and the kid admitted to leaving them outside in the sun to dry out.

After buying new skates I dont think he does that anymore.

Ya, its been over 119 the past month or so over here in saudi

Got up to low 70's here in Maritime Canada today with 88% humidity. Right now at 9:23 pm it's 68, foggy as heck, and 94% humidity.

You people should come out some summer and enjoy :P

i miss home! just the other side from you. gotta love the weather back home. i have always told customers not to leave their gear in the car. comp sticks suffer as well as skates. common sense i guess.....i smell a Mencia Moment coming on......
