They should all be 76mm and at least 76 durometer. They don't skate right with 72/76 setups and it strains the parts. Wheels softer than 76 durometer bog down and eat up speed and agility.

I just got word that my very picky agent in China has the large totally aced and I'll have final approval samples early next week. I'll check them out and OK it and then we'll have a load of new medium A6's and large A8's on the way. All (BOTH SIZES)rocker arm axle insets are now tight enough to hold the nut from spinning if the axle is locked to it too tight. :)

Just got these mounted -- old sprungs on my Pro Tacks... skated on them today, like them. Felt a little slippery on the getty-up, but that's just me converting from hi-lo, gotta get used to a straight setup.

BUt here they are...

I just approved the final samples of the Large A8, so we're starting our new production run shortly. We'll start shipping A6 and A8 orders the week of Nov. 26. Sorry it's taken so long, but they had to be right. As far as I can tell, they're exactly like what the computer said they'd be, which is all you can ask. They have better fit and finish than anything I've seen before. The wheels are aligned STRAIGHT, and all axle insets are firm. These will all be white, so it's still dye time if you want black or another color. We still have a few pairs of black medium A6's in stock, but we're out of white.

:) :) :)

This is a question for all you D men out there. I have been watching this thread for a while and I am very interested in sprungs. If you have been skating on them for a while, how do they seem to hold up if your the type that blocks a lot of shots. Do you find that they are holding up well? I really want to try them out but I want to know that they are strong. Thanks in advance for any feedback

i feel the new frames are very strong and are holding better than expected thus far.myself and my two boys skate on the frames and are very pleased with the performance and durability.ive taken shots and slid into boards where i thought for sure the rockers were broke, after taking them apart after these incidents just to inspect for cracks or anything that would show damage to the frames, ive found them to be fine.(thank goodness)i think sprung found a good formula.at least if the rockers do brake i could replace them, you cant do that when the aluminum frames brake.

I've been skating on them for awhile now, and never even really worried about them breaking. They seem pretty sturdy and I have taken plenty of shots with no issues so far.

I'm a D-man and I've skated on the new A6 ever since it came out. I've blocked tonnes of shots and there's no damage at all. These frames are made extremely well, and I wouldn't worry about the durablity.

Enjoy! Also remember that they are covered by the warranty for a full year so if something does happen to break you will be covered.

You can pre-purchase the medium A6's and the large A8's on the site, now. We are a month away from delivering both. They're all WHITEXX, which is 11 or 12 on the white volume knob. ;)

I've blocked a number of shots with these chassis. Had them just over a year, and I've only broken one rocker arm but it was due to the fact that I got tripped at a hight speed and went feet first into the boards. I'm a pretty big dude too, and I'm skating on the prototype frame before the A6 was released.

I'm skating on the original, pre-A6, actually it's the same pair Kovy got, the iconic first set an MSH member used... but anyway, they were skated on for a while, I'm sure, before I got them but on my second game I snaped a rocker arm pretty hard... I assume it was because I went into the boards... but oh well.

We can't let our veterans down!!! New parts are packed up and ready to go, along with a few others that are getting new black mediums. You'll have them for the weekend.

hey every one

i skated on my size 8.75 one90/sprung A6 frame for the first time on sat 3rd nov.

a little bit about me -

i have been playing roller/inline hockey for over 13 years, im 22, i live in scotland, UK, europe. i have won 6 national's, and 5 supper leagues whilest playing for and being captain of scotland. i have also played for scotland in europe and came 4th playing in seniours when i was only 16 year old.

i have currently started playing ice hockey so the roller hockey has taken a back seat as i hated when i used to play ce and roller changing from ice to roller and so forth. thats 5-6 month i hae been playing straigh ice hockey.

what did i think of the sprungs you ask?

i use easton S15's at ice hockey, and the sprungs are on one90's. well...at first, during the warm up i thought the ballence was good, the cornering was cood, and piviting was excellent, very smoothe transaction from front to back words skating.

But as you know the warm ups never going to tell much.

so...

the game - i would have to say these things are awsome, they are fast, i idnt notice and speed reduction, if anyting the take off was faster than normal (abec9 bearings), as i said the piveting was so smoothe, much better than ice hockey, the whole 'ride' was so smoothe. unfortunitly after the game i hadsore feet, lol, next time ill not tie the the skates so tight.

i must add i fitted my sprungs using 5mm t-nuts as other sizes (3.5mm and 4mm) are hard to come by over here, i missed the t-nutt bellow the ball on my foot (there are only 9 t-nutsper sprung) as it was sticking into my foot to much, ill have to take these t-nuts into work and make them a little smaller.

in conclusion - unbelevable, i would recomend these to players who play both ice and roller, and i would also think it be a wise choice for roller hockey players also.

Whats the best wheel choice for a Sprung setup when you are playing on smooth cement? I have been using Hyper 150's and some old model Bullzeye 82A wheels for blacktop but my winter indoor league starts in a couple of weeks and I would like to upgrade my wheels.

Thanks

Rick Henry

From my experience I don't think the wheel selection for sprungs is any different than any other chassis. Just get whatever fits your price point and match the harness to your skating style and size.

While I don't necessarily subscribe to it, it's been said that some skaters may like a bit harder wheels with the Sprungs as the chassis takes care of alot of the "bounce" or "spring" feel that you would get from really soft wheels, therein you can use a bit harder wheel. It's even been said that doubling the sprung effect with soft wheels has made some skaters uncomfortable. I think those 82A would be fine for what you're using them.

Keith, What does "11 or 12 on the white volume knob mean?" How would these white frames turn out when you dye them black?

It means they're whiter than "white". Whiter than Mick Jaeger's shirts. Total White Satisfaction. When you dye these WHITE frames black they will be BLACK.

Finishing the new large A8 has caused a pleasant shift in our dynamics. Some major business/player icons who really loved the A6 but were big-foot, longer frame guys, have A8's now. I'm really looking forward to their feedback.

And some big company out there has pulled together an 11 player team that will be on Sprungs exclusively. Actually there were 12, but we aren't making Jr sizes yet. They are just testing the frames, as they put it. An Excellent test, and I'm really looking forward to their feedback, too. :)

And here's a question. What's better, A6-small; A8-medium; A8-large, or A6-small-medium; A8-large? If they came on some company's boots, which sizing would you prefer?

A8-medium

I personally prefer small wheel bases (I have been on Missions for ever) so I would say A6-medium. I haven't tried out the A8 yet though so I might be able to deal with it.

Keith,

when i try to order online it says A6 when i click on order the lrg frames? is that the 80mm set up?

Yep. We'll have that sorted out shortly. Just order ahead and if you're a little worried about getting the right thing you can put A8 in the notes. But the price and window will make sure there's no mixup.
