quickquestion... I have a pair of 5.5 CCM Vector 10s that i'm looking to convert to inlines... heard great things about the chassis, etc... but see the medium fits 6-whatever in CCM.

So, is it plausible that it would fit a 5.5? my e-pros are size 255s

I'm not sure if "fit" is the right term for 5.5's. In certain cases, not an issue, cause there's quite a few pairs out there. I think they're better with all 72's at first. There is a little bit of mount overhang in back, but a single good copper rivet on each side and they won't be coming off.

The Grafs, in the pic above, are 6.5's, so the A6 would fit your 5.5 sort of like the A8 fits on a 8.5-9. The frame's too big, (so?) and there are a bunch of those, for sure. You're a crossover size, but you are not alone.

I'm pretty sure there are support groups for the Temporarily 5.5'ed. The above also applies to the From-here-on-out 5.5'ed. Different support groups, though.

Keith, I love the look of the white frame and black rocker arms. My setup with a black frame and white rockers looks sweet but the white rockers are getting pretty dingy looking skating on blacktop. I might end up dying then black also. When I try an 80mm setup I think I will go with your pictured setup. Nice looking skates. Keep the pics coming.

Has anyone had this happen to them? The past weekend I was playing in my PIHA game and while making a turn, I snapped one of the pivot pins in half. The frames/hardware are about 6-8 months old and I've never had a problem till now. A teammate of mine, also skating on Sprungs, gave me a spare one that he had so I could continue playing.

Sprungster,

How do I go about getting spare spare parts? I'd like to maybe order a couple pivot pins/nuts and a couple axels/nuts.

Glad there was relief on the spot for you. We need to replace his spare, too. Email me with your address and I'll send you some stuff. There's 9 axles with nuts and a pivot pin and nut in the hardware bag in all frames, now. Actually started a month or two ago.

Though the shipping to the UK is about $25 by USPS Priority Mail, we're still at $15. We haven't changed the international shipping price yet cause it's about to go up again, so now's the time to save on shipping.

Jason P., your stuff is on the way. Yours too, J-S.

With all the Graf talk, I thought a nice picture of some on a cloud would be sweet. These are Matt Iceburg's. Another happy believer in Sprung Family Values. Group discounts. :)

Simply another excellent example of the customer service and support that Keith gives on his products. Simply amazing. My hat is off to you Keith. And hopefully this post will quell any of the people that are skeptical about purchasing the frames. :D

I bought a pair a couple of weeks ago and have had them mounted on my one90's for about a week. I have only gotten to skate on them a couple times and am still adjusting a little bit. But so far they have been great and I'm really happy with my purchase. Great product IMO.

Hey Keith, if you could post a picture of how to wrap the paper around the spring, that would really help me out a lot (Im much more of a visual learner)>

It was also very nice to meet you in person too. I have nothing but good things to say about your frames and hope you keep doing the same great work you already have done.

Most time I spend waiting for the water to boil so I could do the next round of dyeing. Also applying the hot glue and getting it back of before/after the last round was a bit more time consuming then I thought. I think with practice you can do it in about 4 hours.

Man those are creative and eye catching. Can you describe the technique you used for us?

Nice job

Hey Rick,

I took some pics during the process.

First I dyed the entire frame yellow, followed by a round of red dye. If you move the frame up and down in the dye or pull it out real slow you can achieve a nice fade effect; in my case from red over orange to yellow.

Next I covered up sections with hot glue i wanted to stay their original color. (You can also use tape to create a logo or letters) Then I dyed the frame blue. (yellow and blue gives you green, red and blue gives you a brownish/purpelish color). The longer you leave the plastic in the dye the darker the colors will get.

Removing the hot glue was a bit of a challenge. Best to put the frame right under cold water; the glue gets brittle and is easier to remove (you can put them in the freezer as well). You may have to use a knife to get under some of the glue, just have to be careful not to cut into the plastic. Dull instruments out of metal (I found some in a manicure set) or plastic work well and don't scratch the dye job.

Just reassemble and enjoy your work.

I have ideas for other designs...but how many chassis does one person need. ;)

Great job... i think I saw that technique used for lacrosse sticks as well.

I've never done those myself, but really impressed with your outcome.

Sick Tequila Sunrise man-I had a similar dye job on my lax head. Very cool to see some people get creative with it.
