Who do you think should be the captain? A veteran or a young kid who fits in good with the team. I say Crosby not just because he's good but he supports his teamates. Such as if there is a goal on the Pens and he comes out next line the first thing he does is talk to his goalie. Things like that go for me. IMO.

If I remember correctly, Recchi and Crosby didn't get along during the season. Same could be said for most of the vets on the team.

I find it so funny on how rumors spread, Recchi is one of Crosby's good friends on the team.

I'd vote neither. Crosby's too immature, Recchi will only be around for a year and I can't see it benefitting the team. I'd rather see 3 A's.

There have been plenty of players that have trashed their coach publicly throughout the history of the NHL, but because Crosby is Crosby he's seeking attention. Maybe he felt it was his job as a leader to speak out and let people(the owners) know what is wrong.

There have been plenty of players that have trashed their coach publicly throughout the history of the NHL, but because Crosby is Crosby he's seeking attention. Maybe he felt it was his job as a leader to speak out and let people(the owners) know what is wrong.

Most people at least wait until their on the job a couple months before trying to undermine the boss. It doesn't help that he ripped apart the locker room in the process. You don't elect yourself as a leader, you have to earn the respect of others before they will follow you. Without people following you, you can't be a leader.

well I don't think the owner who was in the locker room every day would really need an 18 year old rookie to tell the public if something is wrong
