Int. Typhoon vs. Int. Cyclone

Recommended Posts

Looking at trying out a 70ish flex shaft. Other than weight and price is the Typhoon that much worse than the Cyclone?

I searched and found one person who liked both but am looking for other opinions.

I had a 70 flex Cyclone once upon a time. It was the stiffest shaft ever. I've had other people lean on it a little and it has absolutely no give. I hated it. Its my pond stick now.

I had the orignal aluminum cyclone back in the day, and had a 95 flex composite one as well. my favorite shafts of all time. I actually likes the thin grip of it. The only reason I didn't get another one is that I currently have 4 shafts and a one piece, with 3 more OPS on the way. And I still want to pick up another Cyclone.

I think an intermediate typhoon (was 75 flex, will probably be 65 flex now) would be a bit shorter than a cyclone. the Cyclone is standard senior length, even though it's a 70 flex. you could also go for a Sr. Typhoon in 80 flex. Also, with Easton making 75 flex senior OPS, they may do the same with their Sr. shafts as well.

Actually I just remembered that I have a 70 flex cyclone that I had got from someone, but it was cut down a bit. No good for me as it's too whippy. pm me if you're interested, I'll let it go cheap.
