Recommended Posts

Sorry guys, I'm trying to find the thread on what to use and how to dye my holders. The link would be great.

Again Sorry and thanks in advance.

Here are some links on how to dye lacrosse heads. They are also nylon so the technique is the same. I would remove the holders from the boot and also remove the blades prior to dyeing. I would also definitely dye versus using even the new plastic type paints (eg. Krylon Fusion). This is due to the fact that the dye will penetrate the outer portion of the plastic and it will be retained after being impacted much better than the paint which has a tendency to chip off. The articles below should give you an idea also of the multitude of possibilities that are available if you are a little creative. I especially like McCool's ice technique, but it looks time consuming.

In terms of removing the holder from the boot and the steel from the holder, should I have my LHS do that, or is there a way to do that myself?

Holy smokes... I just dyed some cowlings off a pair of RBK goal skates orange for someone and they look soooo good. I will post some pics once I get them remounted on the skates. The lax dye page is perfect. The instructions are really easy to follow and provide some great results.
