Jofa 9066 Elbow Pads

Recommended Posts

after hurting my elbow so many times in my V-10s i got sick of it so I bought a pair of Jofa 9066 elbow pads we just got in at work because i was told its a pro elbow pad. Thinking that I tried it on, feels good, not overly restrictive and has plenty of protection since it has 2 caps and 4 straps. My only complaint is that it makes me look like Pop-Eye when wearing my jersey etc;. Any opinions on this pad? Anything I should expect/look out for?

I have never tryed those on before. I had a guy on team that loved them though. I have some 9144's and couldnt think of anything that fits and protects me better. IMO. It's all about what fits you best. I dont think they were to popular, RBK didnt continue with them in the lineup.

10 years??? I thought the 9066 came out in 2002-2003 or somewhere around there. Are yours maybe 5066 or 6066???

Hmm, I assumed what I had were the 9066's. I looked up the two you listed and the ones I have are very very close to the 6066's. The only pic I could find was an eBay item.

I never knew what model I had. There were never any markings on them other then the Jofa name and the JDP and dual cap logos. They weren't cheap at the time. I paid $75.00 US for them back then.

Dual Cap hasn't changed in a long time.

I have prostock 5044s - wouldn't give them up for anything.

so is the 6066 an older model of the 9066? I really don't get Jofa's model numbering system

The last two numbers have stayed the same. The 6xxx were orange, the 8xxx were the first with the updated Jofa logo, and the 9xxx were the last before RBK.

As I said before; A guy on my team loved them and I see many others do. So why did RBK stop production on them? They did the same thing with the Jofa 8700 shoulder pad. My personal favorit. I bought 2 pair so I would have another if something were to happen to these.

I love my Jofa 9144s. I believe these are my third or fourth pair of Jofa elbow pads based on the same basic design.

how do you like the mobility on them? I tried both 9144 and 9066 and 9066 felt suprisingly better for how much bulkier it is

I have 9144 as well and love them. I had 6044 prior to that. It's all PP.
