One90, Supreme 70, or XXX

One90, Supreme 70, and the Vapor 30s

I'm trying to decide between these 3 skates and was hoping someone could comment on how deep each boot is in comparison to each other. None of the LHS in my area have either 3 in my size so a hands-on comparison isn't an option, nor do I really trust the word of the LHS workers I have talked with.

Well I would go with the one90's but you gotta take in to consideration are you going to be using that good of a skate to it's fullest ability?

No you don't peter, you have to take into consideration which one actually fits his foot. The one90 in a D width is wider and slightly deeper than a D Width XXX, whereas I've found that the Sup. 70 is similar in depth and fit to an 8090.

I really don't know how deep the 8090 is.

Is it significantlly deeper than the One90?

one90s also generally run smaller in sizes compared to XXX. So if you're in a size 7 XXX, then you'll be a 6.5 in one90s.

Sucks you can't try them out. All 3 skates fit very differently (you would think the one70s and one90s fit the same but they're a little different).

Oh and Peter if that's the case then I guess alot of ppl in this msgboard (including myself) shouldn't be allowed to use the gear that they use ;)

I guess I should add some more info.

My size - 6-6.5 EE (Bauer)

I tried on a pair One90s at a LHS size 6D (the only One90 they had) and really liked the way it fit, besides being narrower than usual, until an employee told me that they looked like they were too shallow for my feet and I could experience lacebite. I've skated on Bauers for a long time (most recently Vapor XVs) and have never had a problem with lacebite.

The One90 is a stand alone skate model. The boot has very little in common with the Supreme 70. How long have you been skating? What was your last model of skates?

Considering they're all high end skates that aren't that cheap, I would definitely try to make the effort to get into any LHS and try them on. It boils down to what feels best on your feet. I'll say Vapor 30's because they fit best on my feet, however the next person's opinion will be different.

I've been skating all my life, mostly on Bauer skates, and my most recent skates are Vapor XVs.

The One90 I tried on felt pretty good but I was told that it wasn't deep enough for my foot.

I never had any problems with the boot of my Vapors being too shallow, at least as far as I can tell.

If I were in your shoes then I would just stay with vapors and get the xxx's. If your xv's worked with no problems i dont see why the xxx's wouldnt work. My xxx's were great and offered very good performance. If you do go the vapor route make sure you try them on because i heard somewhere on here that if you were in xx's (not sure if this applys with the xvs) that you'd have to drop a half size in the xxx's. At least thats what i thought.

That is correct on the sizing.

The outsole on the XXX is thinner and therefore causes it to fit a good halfsize smaller.

The guy that said your foot was not going to fit because the boot looked to shallow tell me you have a high arch and therefore if you were to put a superfeet in the skate and kick it back you should be able to get in there properly and have it lace up properly.
