1100 Fused or True 1

Recommended Posts

I am getting a new stick after I sell my Novius Fused, so I need your help deciding. I have used an 1100 and liked it more than my Novius. THere is really nothing on how the True 1 performs yet on here that I've found, so that's what I'm looking for. How does it compare with the 1100?

I had a demo Mogilny that I got last summer. It was alright, but in my opinion, not even close to the Novius or 1100. It was light, but I didn't get the feel of the other two. Just my opinion, but I wouldn't touch the True1.

My advice is go with what you like, the fused inno. Why spend 160 beans on a stick you might not like ? To often I have had buyers remorse after purchasing certain sticks - It's your decission though - good luck

I can tell you that I have tried a ton of OPS & 2 pc sticks, but I keep going back to my Inno Nov 300 Mogilny. I picked up a few XN-10s when they came out because I like to try new stuff, but they just didn't have the feel of the Inno. If you get the True1 make sure you get to try it first if possible, with just getting a review off the net it's tough to judge how a stick will work for your style of play/shooting style. The 1100 is a great stick also, as many here will tell you. Your safe bet is to go for the 1100, unless you have a hook up for a few True1s.

ive heard that the true one blade is a little softer

I agree. I've used both an 1100 fused and True1, both in 260 flex. Both have very good balance, and to me the feel was pretty comparable. But I prefered the stiffer 1100 blade - it eventually broke but after significant use. So far the True1 has held up, but I kind of feel like the blade has gotten even softer - maybe it's just in my head. For what it's worth, I also briefly had a 300 flex True1 and the top of the blade split at the toe after minimal use - could be a fluke, but this also happended to someone else on the board I seem to recall. All in, I think I'd go for the 1100.

yeah like hockeyluke said ive used quite a few of these sticks i love them they have like the best feel for a ops ive ever used ive used all the innos to. i would probably agree the blade is a little softer then the novius and the 1100 but its not that much softer i dont think your shot suffers that much. but im more of a puckhandling kind of guy and i love the feel of the true one. i think im gonna try a xn10 though for my next stick. if i were you though i would go with the true one its only $120 on www.peranis.com right now.

Add another vote for the 1100.

I had one, loved it, broke it.. tried a novius next time around. Didn't like it nearly as much. Anyways, got a Vapor XX, used it twice, sold it on Ebay. Hated it.

Got another fused 1100. Best stick i've used.. and it's been 14+ years of sticks..

If you do decide to get a True 1, make sure you ask how long it is when you order it. I know that some people on here have ordered theirs and recieved ones that were around 3 inches shorter than stock.

There is no right and wrong when it comes to feel. I hate the feel of synthesis/synergy blades but other people love them.

i would really like to know who likes the feel of a synergy or synthesis they must be nuts!

I prefer the term, unenlightened. In some areas people have limited opportunities to try new sticks and might be nervous about spending $150+ for a stick they've never held in their hands.

Theres got to be some reason why we see Synthesis' in the NHL, some people have to have something they like in them, everybody has a different opinion on sticks. I dont think my Synthesis has the best feel, but I also don't think it's as bad as people make it out to be.

my fault dont know why i put that, and thanks for informing me true ones are innovatives bud didnt know.... obviously it was a typo considering a few posts ago i just said ive used many of them. and easy do you want to know why people use synthesis in the nhl im pretty sure its because they get payed to use them. although im sure people use them, i dont know of any. a reason people might use them because they can get really good shots off with the stick, i highly doubt people in the nhl or anywhere else use a synthesis because it has good feel for the puck. also synthesis's probably have the worst feel of any stick ive ever tryed, even worse then synergy's.

this might make your decision a little less painful.

true one

Nope. Way ahead of you buddy. If I got the True 1, it would be from there, but the 1100 would be a Kaberle from the ACC. The 1100 is cheaper.
