Just have them sharpen the skates and try them first before you do anything.

Feel when your skating on if you feel like your leaning back, leaning forward, and how much blade you feel you have compared to your old ones... Then try your old ones and see if you want more blade or less.

30/40 CAG setting is not much blade at all......

alright thanks....do you prefer more blade or less ?

Personally working with players I always like to take them to the MAX amount of blade then work backwards till they feel most comfortable....

Easier then trying to go a little bit at a time.

You went from a size 8.5 to a size 7??? Strange, unless the 8.5s were too big. You may be one of the lucky ones where the stock radius works, so I would too recommend you skate on them a few times first and then see if there is some performance you are not getting. Look for symptoms like balance issues, flat feel or no-speed. As a side, the 1/2 dozen or so One90 customers I've done so far have reported feeling on their heels and wanted some pitch.

In going from a Custom+ to the One90, I had to go to a more forward pitch to get the same feel of your weight being on the balls of you feet. I initially had them profiled to aneutral pitch, and it definitly felt like I was more flat footed and occasionally on my heels coming out of transitions.

heel lifts. you could always take them out if you don't like it. you can't put back steel that you've profiled off the runners!

If done correctly, very little steel is removed.
