Miserable

Issue With One90s

Recommended Posts

so about 4 weeks?

What did they do? Was there any type of explanation? Was it just one skate or both?

Most of the story is a couple posts back at the top of this page.

Basically, NBH didn't have a skate in my size to replace the damaged pair and were going to refund my money. O-zone and Skates read this post and contacted me. Once I found out about the refund and told them, Skates tracked down a pair of One90s in my size and shipped them to me. That is the pair I got today.

There is an explanation on the issue from O-zone a page or so back in this thread. Everyone I've talked to so far believes it was an issue with the way they were heated at my LHS.

As far as turn around time, it’s been under 3 1/2 weeks but my LHS never called me about the refund part, I called them and got the info last week. I'm not sure how long they were sitting on that so it's hard to tell what the actual turn around would have been if they had skates to give me.

So, in the end, you had a problem with a newly purchased skate and NBH sent you new ones.....pretty straight forward in my book of standing behind product. Good for NBH....still not so sure about the LHS though.

And BTW, I don't think O-zone mentioned heating at the LHS in his post.

Yup, the only hurdle was that demand was so high for the skates that they were having issues with getting a new pair. That was taken care of.

Not sure about the LHS myself. I was told a really big stink was made to get me a new pair but they just weren't out there. I don't know if that's the case or not but it doesn't really matter now.

Nope, O-zone didn't mention heating but everyone from shops have mentioned it as possibly being the cause of the issue.

Ok came across this one tonight. On the instep on the outside of the skate there are a couple of folds/cuts where they bend the material to fit under the outsole. THIS IS NOT A WARRANTY ISSUE. I had a employee at one sttore replace 2 pairs because of this. Also there was a orange tinge to that area that they thought was an issue witht he coloring of the skate.....its called GLUE....geesh guys come on....!! Some kids these days....actually his buddies pointed it out and they thought it was an issue.

Uber thread resurrection, but I'm having the same outsole issues as the OP. Except I've exceeded the warranty period. It's to the point that if I just pull lightly on the runner, I can actually move the outsole.

Is this basically out of Bauer's hands?

In my case it's the to top of the upside down v at the heel which is coming unglued. But I don't think its affecting the integrity of the boot. I however contacted customer service and I told them my warranty had expired.

They were very friendly and told me to bring my skate back to my lhs who would send the skates to them so they could take a look at the problem and if indeed it was a manufacturing defect they would still repair the skate.

Feeling reassured I decided to wait and see if the problem gets worse.

wow...that's nice of them. my LHS told me i'm out of luck and i had to ship mine out to NBH on my own. but they did replace it for me. they were really cool to work with even though i was out of my warranty too (even though it was only a few weeks out of warranty). but i thought that was nice of NBH to do even though my LHS told me i was screwed.

Can you call the stick warranty number for skate warranty stuff? It's the only number I know of for Bauer.
