Crosby's glove

Recommended Posts

Darryl 87

It's his nickname, which was given to him by teammates after he scored 7 (maybe 8) points in a single QMJHL game. Darryl Sittler holds the NHL record for points in a single game with 7.

As much as I love a Crosby bashing, Crosby is no spoiled brat. He worked to get endorsements, sponsorships etc. through hockey in his life and his parents were in no way spoiling him.

How could you say a spoiled brat. He's a kid with talent. And for anyone who was gonna say all he does is complain watch a Pens game see. From all the games almost every time he says something to a ref something actually happened.

Agreed^^^ He went over the line a few times but most of the time he had a legit complaint. Hatcher knocks his teeth out-no call. Later in the game Hatcher high sticks him in the mouth-no call. Crosby goes ballistic and gets sent to the box.

This scenario played out time & time again throughout the season.

Its called "paying your dues". He'll be done with it soon enough, unless he stays the same.

Its weird to actually see Crosby celebrating with his teammates for a chance and not pushing them away. Regardless, here is Belak.

You wish your team had him, and I completely understand.

His skill? Absolutely. His bullshit attitude? No way.

I have to disagree, I wouldn't go as far as calling his attitude "bullshit." He may look like a whiner, but Gretzky was the same way at his age. He's just a really fierce competitor, and doesn't like when things don't go his way and isn't afraid to show it. I'm 100% positive that by the end of his career he will be considered a very classy player. Also, he only had 11 less points than our top 3 prospects(Stajan, Steen, and Wellwood). He needs to mature obviously, but you make his attitude out to be much worse than it is.

He wasn't 18 by any means, but once upon a time Joe Juneau got 100+ points as a rookie. Then again the NHL was good back then.

Good point, but I doubt he'll turn out like Joe Juneau. Anyone who watched him this year can definitely say he is the real deal. If he doesn't up his point total this year, I'll buy you one of those big wedges you like.
